Program Description

Event Details

Welcome to the Climate Café! In this monthly series, we'll be hosting presenters on select Saturday mornings to speak about topics like environmentalism and nature, climate change, wildlife protection, and more. Complimentary coffee and pastries will be provided!

In this Café, we're excited to welcome back Alyssa Giaquinto from the Giaquinto Wildlife Rehabilitation Center! She'll teach us why spring is "baby season" for most of our native wildlife and discuss some of the baby animals we may encounter in the woods and even in our own backyard. We'll learn about how long they stay with their parents and when they are old enough to go off on their own, as well as what to do if you find any animals you believe to be orphaned and what may cause them to become true orphans. You'll also have the chance to meet Alyssa's educational ambassador barn owl, Bella, and learn all about her vulnerable species.

Join us on Saturday, April 19th at 10:00am in the Grice Community Room. No registration required!
