Event Details
At this class, you will learn how to identify select wild edibles (e.g. mushrooms, berries, greens, or even trees) via a slideshow and in person samples to see and feel. You will see how to identify these seasonal finds and how you can then incorporate them into your food or drink!
About the Presenter:
Emily Makrez, Owner of F-Word Farm: a place for farming, foraging and fermenting. My interest in food took me to Seattle to pursue a Master's degree in nutrition at Bastyr University, but my love of New England brought me back home to start my own farm and delve deeply into the world of fermentation (lacto, koji, vinegar, & alcoholic) and foraging. My focus is on using every last bit of what nature provides and making it taste delicious.
