Have you been interested in trying out a new, fast paced, and challenging card game? Do you like to collect cards? 

Welcome to Magic: The Gathering! Magic: The Gathering for Beginners is open for grades 4th - 6th.

Registration is required, we are not able to accept walk-ins for this program. 

Magic is a collectible trading card game of fun-filled, strategic games to play with friends old and new. Welcoming worldbuilders, narrative lovers, and gameplay enthusiasts alike, Magic has something for everyone and countless ways to play. Whether you're sitting at the kitchen table, playing online, or battling in a high-stakes competition, there's a place for you in the world of Magic: The Gathering.

  • 2. DISCOVER NEW WORLDS A Multiverse of adventures awaits you, filled with powerful, unforgettable characters and spells to explore.
  • 3. LEVEL UP YOUR STRATEGY Test your abilities to think fast and have fun on a battlefield of possibilities! Try new strategies with creative deckbuilding or push your skills to go for the win.

Play with your friends in a game that lets you explore rich worlds, discover unique strategies, and develop your skills. Each player starts the game with 20 life. Get your opponent's 20 life points down to 0 and you win the game.

Whether you have never played before, played a couple of times, or play every weekend this program is for you. 

All participants will use pre-constructed starter decks. 

Space is limited to 8 players per session

Registration is required, we are not able to accept walk-ins for this program. 

Join us in-person at the library - we'll be gathered in the Children's Programming Room on Thursday, October 17th @ 6:00pm.

Adult supervisor must be in building
