Join us for our annual Summer Reading Kickoff! We'll have a fun afternoon of creativity and ice cream. Families and children of all ages are invited to the library, where we will be hosting “Chain Reactions and Creative Contraptions” with the Playful Engineers. This event is a hands-on, play based, STEAM powered learning makerspace build-along workshop. Participants will design, build, test, and play with chain reactions and creative contraptions, like Rube Goldberg Machines, paper constructions, domino towers, exploding popsicle-stick snakes, and other awesome engineering explorations. The session is tailored for all ages and abilities. Kids build it up, then break it down, and put it away for the next group to play. Trombetta's will also be here with an ice cream truck to provide yummy treats. Please register for this amazing event.
